Free lunch & discussion on Economic Outlook for county, state

The Berkeley Springs-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, CNB Bank, Inc, and the Morgan County Economic Development Authority (EDA) will sponsor lunch and discussion for this year’s Economic Outlook for the Eastern Panhandle this Thursday, December 8 at noon.

Lyn Goodwin from the Morgan County EDA and John Deskins, Ph.D. from WVU’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research will speak about the economic outlook for the State of West Virginia for 2023 and beyond.

This interesting and informative afternoon will be held at Coolfont Resort on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. The event and lunch is free,  sponsored by CNB Bank, the EDA and the Chamber of Commerce.  Individuals do not have to be a member to attend.

John Deskins travels around the State of West Virginia each year and shares with each region/county how they are doing in terms of economic growth, driving forces for that growth, where we are lagging behind, and what the future holds for our region and the state as a whole.

The Morgan County Economic Development Authority specializes in assisting current and potential businesses succeed in Morgan County by working closely with the County Commissioners, Regional and State Development Offices and various business resources.  Executive Director Lyn Goodwin will give economic development updates for Morgan County.
