Ward Robert Stotler

Ward Robert Stotler 1941-2022 Ward Robert Stotler, age 81, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at his home. Born January 29, 1941 in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Howard Marshall and Nonsetta Anna Hobday Stotler. Ward attended schools in Morgan County. He worked at a local sawmill before going to work for U.S. Silica until his retirement after 30 years of service. Ward was a past member of Berkeley Springs Volunteer Fire Company. He loved spoiling his grandchildren, going to Florida with his family, hanging out at Sheetz and riding around town with his sidekick Dancer. Ward enjoyed woodworking, going to NASCAR races with his family, listening to the scanner and working on cars. Ward is survived by his children, Jeffery Scott Stotler, wife Beth of Martinsburg, W.Va., Ward Robert Stotler, Jr., companion Jenny, Richard Travis Stotler, wife, Echo, Laura Kay Breeden, husband Craig and Marshall Todd Stotler, wife Carolyn, all of Berkeley Springs, his siblings, Barbara Jean Cain, Wanda Kelly, Peggy Joyce Helmick, Margaret Ann Stotler, Thomas Douglas, Kenneth Lee Stotler, Debra Cain, Vivian Shoemaker, Denise Stotler and James David Stotler, his grandchildren, Tera, Brooke, MyKenzie, Evelyn, Camorin, Brysyn, Rylan, Ryleigh, Brian, Breana, Nadine, Clare, Marisa and Charity, his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Iris, Lilliana, Luna, Olivia, Kollin and Maddix and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Joyce Gladhill Stotler on November 4, 2007, five siblings, Howard Marshall Stotler, Bernard Charles Stotler, Mary Joan Mills, Alice Patricia Stotler, Nonsetta Theresa Stotler and his car fur buddy, Sidewinder. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastor Rodney Truax will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the funeral home.
