William Edward Lezzer, Jr.
1954-2022
William Edward Lezzer, Jr., age 67, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, June 6, 2022 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born October 5, 1954 in Trenton, N.J., he was the son of the late William Edward, Sr. and Betty June Martin Lezzer.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs. Bill was a graduate of Neshaminy High School in Levittown, Pa. and was a horticulturist, specializing in plant growth experimentation. He served in the U.S. Navy from September 21, 1972 until his honorable discharge on July 8, 1976. He enjoyed gardening.
Bill is survived by his children, William Edward Lezzer III and his partner Amber Cabral of Kalaheo, Hawaii and Andrew Robert Lezzer and his wife Kathleen Eichler of Horsham, Pa., three sisters, Stefanie Lynn Fratantaro and her husband John of Calabash, N.C., Valerie Ann Wall of Ashland City, Tenn. and Laura Beth Kraus and her husband Alfred Pallante of Langhorne, Pa., his brother, James Francis Lezzer and his wife Karen of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., one granddaughter, Aliyana Mieko-Leigh Lezzer of Kalaheo, Hawaii and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 67 Liberty Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with Rev. Fr. Mikee Lecias as celebrant. Private interment was in the Martin Family Cemetery in Tazewell, Va.
