Thurman Lee Poffinberger II

1959-2021

Thurman Lee Poffinberger II of Berkeley Springs passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Lee was born September 5, 1959, the son of Thurman Ray and Leona Poffinberger.

He is survived by his mother Leona Goedde and husband Ron of Moore Haven, Fla.; one brother, Randy Poffinberger and wife Kay; one sister, Brenda Dill Clark and husband Jim of Berkeley Springs. Also survived by three nieces, Angela Jackson, Trina Fraley and Shannon Thompson and one nephew, Randy “PJ” Poffinberger.

Lee was preceded in death by his father Thurman Ray Poffinberger in 2010.

Lee enjoyed attending church and was a member of the Berkeley Springs Church of Christ.

He also enjoyed working with his hands and was known around town for doing various odd jobs and being meticulous at them and working hard.

Lee attended school in Berkeley Springs and was a member of the class of 1977. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service that will be officiated by Minister Josh Hetrick at the Poffinberger family cemetery located at 149 Green Gate Road in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. on Saturday, October 30th at 11 a.m. and then on Sunday, October 31st, family and friends are also invited to worship service at 10:30 with a fellowship meal honoring Lee at the building of the Berkeley Springs Church of Christ located at 290 S. Green Street in Berkeley Springs.
