Sue Anne Ayers
1934-2022
Sue Anne Ayers, age 87, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born August 7, 1934 in Warfordsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles Elwood and Ruth Alma Steiner Deneen.
She attended First United Methodist Church.
Sue attended Hancock public schools.
She was a homemaker to her husband and two children.
Sue was a member of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #60 in Berkeley Springs.
She loved to cook and enjoyed going for ice cream at the Berkeley Springs Dairy Queen.
Sue is survived by her children, Mark Deneen Ayers and his wife Malinda, and Barbara Ann Ayers, all of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Delmont “Dodie” Hull, of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Phillip Deneen, of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two grandsons, Kyle Deneen Ayers and his wife, Stephanie, of Martinsburg, W.Va., Collin Matthew Ayers, of Berkeley Springs; one great granddaughter, Esme Louise Ayers, of Martinsburg and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert “Bob” Ayers on November 19, 2012.
Services and burial for Sue will be private.
