Sarel Jacobus Deysel, age 68, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, November 8, 2021, at his home.
Born December 12, 1952, in Salisbury, Rhodesia, he was the son of the late Sarel Jacobus and Anna Maria Elena Lee Deysel.
He was a Christian.
He was a graduate of public schools in South Africa.
He had worked as a horticulturist in OSHA related industry and most recently with the golf course at Cacapon State Park.
He enjoyed woodworking.
Sarel is survived by his wife of 46 years, Hendrina Cecilia Smit Deysel, at home, three daughters, Hendrina Cecilia Molz and her husband Matthew, of Hanover, Pa., Anné Deysel Rothermel and her husband Ray, of Woodbridge, Va. and Lené Kotze and her husband Xander, of Auckland, New Zealand, seven grandchildren, Cody Matthew Molz, Brandon Joseph Molz and Ashlyn Cecilia Molz, all of Hanover, Pa., Judd Jameson Rothermel and Marius Rowan Rothermel, both of Woodbridge, Va., Alexander Kotze and Nathan Kotze, both of Auckland, New Zealand two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Services and interment will be private.
