Russell Frederick Wertman
1939-2022
Russell Frederick Wertman 82, passed away on January 22, 2022.
Born September 30, 1939, he was the son of the late Charles and Edith (O’Rourke) Wertman and husband of Christina Carol Wertman.
He was formerly employed as a surveyor for the Maryland State Highway Administration and Fox Associates of Hagerstown.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Hancock, Md.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael L. Wertman, and wife Lisa, of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Rylie of Hagerstown, Brett, and wife Marie, Denver, Colo., and Tyler of Portland, Ore.; one great grandson Rowan of Portland, Ore., and one sister, Darlene Duvall of Stafford, Va.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery 3738 Resley Road, Hancock. Rev. William Stottlemyer officiating.
