Roger Lee Gibbs
1959-2022
Roger Lee Gibbs, age 63, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at his home.
Born February 9, 1959 in Wichita, Kan., he was the son of the late James Edward and Patsy Ruth Tharp Gibbs.
He was a Christian. He attended public schools in Oklahoma. He was a self-employed carpenter all his life in Kansas and Florida. He took great pride and joy in creating his client’s visions with his woodworking skills. Roger loved animals and enjoyed meeting new people. Some would say that he never met a stranger his whole life. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, listening to music, cooking/entertaining guests, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Jenny Lee Roberts of Berkeley Springs and Christopher Lee Gibbs of Fleming Island, Fla., two brothers, James Gibbs of Florida and Mike Elliott of Kansas, four grandchildren, Chyanne Gibbs, Christian Gibbs and Anna Johnson of Fleming Island, Fla. and Jase Logan Beihl of Berkeley Springs. He also has extended family in Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Florida and leaves behind his faithful fur babe “Duke.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Diana Kay Duncan Gibbs.
Services and interment will be private.
