Presiding Elder Jason Faith, Sr.

1937-2022

Presiding Elder Jason Faith, Sr., 84, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away March 18, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born June 11, 1937, in Hancock, Md., he was the son of the late Advance Presiding Elder Harry and Superior Mother Irene Faith.

He was a graduate of Hancock High School.

He served honorable in the U.S. Army for two years.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore and retired after 30 years of service.

As a life-long member of the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, he served in many capacities, including chairperson of different organizations, Bible school teacher and pastor.

He enjoyed the outside, piddling on the farm and talking about the stock market.

He is survived by his wife, Mother Linda Faith; sons, Harry Faith, Jason Faith, Jr., and wife Sarah; two stepsons, Allen Mellott and Billy Mellott; his “Sweetheart” granddaughter, Lily Faith; a brother, Donald Faith and a sister, Angelene Mason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Advance Senior Mother Esther Miller, Senior Mother Priscilla Atkins and ‘daughter’ Trinity his dog.

Funeral services will be held, Friday, March 25, 2022, at 12 p.m., at Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, Md., with visitation two hours prior. Presiding Elder Caleb Wilt will officiate. Burial will follow in The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob Cemetery, in Hancock, Md.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grove Funeral Home.
