Nathan Micah Claudy, 48, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, at his home.

Born October 31, 1973, in Hagerstown, Md., he was the son of Wilson Thomas “Bill” Claudy and Vigelea Ruth “Jill” (Blickenstaff) Claudy.

He was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1992.

He was a carpenter by trade.

He attended the Black Rock Bible Church as a youth.

Nathan loved to work on and build Jeep’s. He was a member of NOVA Jeepers Association and DMV Jeepers Club. Nathan loved the outdoors, especially the mountains, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Nathan is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 26 years, April Dawn (Schoppert) Claudy, who he married May 13, 1995; one son, Wyatt Micah Claudy; two brothers, Eric Claudy and wife Jessica and Matthew Claudy and wife Carrie; maternal grandmother, Florence Elizabeth Blickenstaff; mother-in-law, Patricia Moyer; brother-in-law’s, Christopher Delibera and wife Sarah and Michael Delibera; sister-in-law, Ashley Delibera and fiancé Kevin; canine companion, Mosin; special uncle, Ron Blickenstaff and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wilbur Blickenstaff and paternal grandparents, Wilson Claudy and Louise Claudy.

Services were held Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, Md., with Pastor Guy Nesbitt officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
