Michael Murray
1948-2021
Michael Murray, 73, of Falling Waters, W.Va., passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center.
Born May 3, 1948 in Berlin, Germany, he was the son of the late Richard Andrew and Marianne Lina (Mehrmann) Murray.
Michael graduated from Hancock High School with the class of 1966.
He loved the Redskins and was an avid Orioles fan.
He is survived by his wife, Lucinda Murray; daughter, Yvette Teach (husband, Jason); son, Michael A. Murray (wife, Kelly); three grandchildren; longtime friends and caregivers, J.R. and Brenda Myers, their granddaughter, Jamie, and Brenda O.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Peter Scherlinsky.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, Md. Pastor Bill Divelbiss will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Episcopal Cemetery in Hancock, Md.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m.
