Marjorie Lenora Ours, age 98, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at The Berkeley Springs Center.

Born October 3, 1922 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Cecil Ray and Lola May Waugh Ambrose.

She was a member of Trinity-Asbury United Methodist Church.

Marjorie was a graduate of Bath District High School in Berkeley Springs.

She had worked as the Morgan County Deputy County Clerk and had served as a County Commissioner.

She was a member of the Morgan County Republican Club, The Junior Order of United American Mechanics Council #117 and bowled on various leagues at the Berkeley Springs Bowlerama. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, tending her flower beds and playing slot machines. She had been a homemaker in recent years.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Drucilla May Harvey, of Hancock, Md.; one sister, Mildred Evelyn Caruso, of Berlin, Md.; seven grandchildren, Martin Riley Harvey, Michael Ray Harvey, Tamara Jane Kees, Brandi Lee Omps and Stephanie Renee Johnson, all of Berkeley Springs, Riley Eston Ours of Clovis, N.M., and Jennifer Nicole Ours, of Stephens City, Va.; seven great grandchildren, Marti Lynn Ivins, of Winchester, Va., Martin Wayne Harvey, of Warfordsburg, Pa., Shaun Michael Harvey, Matthew Tyler Kees, Dallis Irene Bishop, Michaela Renee Bishop and Kyler Warren Cowles, all of Berkeley Springs, Christopher Thomas Kees, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., Chelsie Rianah Tello, of Wichita Falls, Texas and Logan Eston Ours, of Clovis, N.M.; 12 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friends, Cindy Hovermale, Tanya Lineweaver, Betty Rawling and Loretta Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eston Riley Ours on July 5, 2001; her son, Riley Lee Ours; one sister, Catherine Virginia Bowers and two brothers, Bernard Ray Ambrose and Joseph James Ambrose.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs. Interment was in Greenway Cemetery.
