Marian Ethel Sellner Garber, age 94, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, W.Va.

Born February 14, 1927 in Clinton, Md., she was the daughter of the late George Clagget and Lottie Mae Taylor Sellner.

She was a member of Berkeley Springs Church of Christ.

She was a graduate of Surrattsville High School in Clinton, Md., and had worked as a secretary with the U.S. Maritime Commission and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Marian had been active with Gideons International and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She had been a homemaker in recent years.

Marian is survived by her children, Karen Eileen Wood, of Martinsburg, W.Va., Kaye Ellen Pyles, of Stanardsville, Va., and Kenneth Stewart Garber, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; one brother, Charles Alfred Sellner, of Clinton, Md.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Pyles Wright, of Fairfax, Va., Michael Robert Wood, of Martinsburg, Jessica Karen Wood, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Chase Jeffrey Garber, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; two great grandchildren, Alayzia Barbara Brown, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Hunter Seth Wright of Fairfax, Va., and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Stewart Garber; two sisters, Charlotte Marie Richards and Pauline Elois Rutter and one brother, George Columbus Sellner.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, at Berkeley Springs Church of Christ, 209 S. Green Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Joshua Hetrick officiating. Interment will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
