Lee Anna Virginia McCoy, age 97, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Homewood of Williamsport.
Born August 22, 1924 at home in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Jannie Goldwin and Anna Deloris Eppinger Shade.
She was a member of Highland United Methodist Church.
She was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and West Virginia Beauty School.
She first worked at the Interwoven Hosiery Mill in Berkeley Springs and then as a presser at Londontown Manufacturing in Hancock. For many years, she had been the owner/operator of Bath Beauty Shop in Berkeley Springs.
Lee Anna was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60.
She enjoyed painting, drawing, crafts and flower arranging.
Lee Anna is survived by her children, Victoria Cheryl Funk and her husband Alvin “Tink” of Hancock and Monica Gail Risinger of Berkeley Springs, one sister, Phyllis Michael of Berkeley Springs, three grandchildren, Michael Scott Funk of Knoxville, Md., Tara Lynn Twigg of Berkeley Springs and Megan Lynn Broschart of Gerardstown, W.Va., one step grandchild, Melody Dawn Stotler and her husband Roger of Berkeley Springs, six great-grandchildren, Wyatt Scott Funk and Jackson Garrett Funk, both of Knoxville, Md., Casey Jake Twigg of Berkeley Springs, Raylen James Broschart and Colten Taylor Broschart and Tristen Sines Broschart, all of Gerardstown, W.Va., three step-great-grandchildren, Lauren Schetrompf, Caleb Stotler and Courtney Stotler, all of Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Bernard “Jack” McCoy on September 27, 1984, two sisters, Betty Bohrer and Bonnie Tyler, her brother, Freddie Shade and her son-in-law, James Eugene Risinger.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with Pastor Kenny Mason officiating. Interment was in Highland Cemetery.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
