Lady Indians volleyball team takes win over Petersburg

The Berkeley Springs High School Lady Indians Volleyball Team ventured to Grant County for a match up with the Petersburg Vikings on Tuesday, September 7.

The Lady Indians came out ready to play as they took an impressive game one win by a score of 25-16. In game two Petersburg rallied back to take the 25-21 win to even the match score at 1-1. In game three the Lady Indians rallied back to take a 25-22 win to go back in front 2-1. In game four the Lady Indians put the contest away with a dominating 25-14 win to secure the 3-1 win.

Leading the way for Berkeley Springs were Ally Morris with three aces, five kills and 20 assists, Jenna Tuttle with four aces, seven kills and three assists and Grace Sullivan three aces and eight kills.

The Lady Indians hit the road again this time visiting the Class AAA Martinsburg Lady Bulldogs on Thursday, September 9. In game one Martinsburg took the win by a score of 25-9. In game two the Lady Bulldogs took the 25-16 win.

Martinsburg completed the three game sweep winning the third game 25-13. Morris (two aces, 11 assists and 12 digs) led Berkeley Springs.
