Janet Kay Kesecker

1937-2022

Janet Kay Kesecker of Sarasota, Fla., formerly from Berkeley Springs, passed away peacefully, on July 5, 2022, after a long battle of Parkinson’s.

Janet was born on January 16, 1937, in Martinsburg, W.Va., to the late Earl and Lyndell Barney.

She graduated from Hedgesville High School and was a loving mother and wife.

Janet is survived by her husband of 67 years, Earl R. Kesecker, Jr. and her four children; Coleen Cox and her husband Don of Sarasota, Fla., Lynette Golden and her husband Steve of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Wyatt Kesecker and Shannon of Berkley Springs, W.Va., Faith Dangerfield and her husband David of Englewood, Fla. She was proceeded in death by her brother, Donald Barney. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.

She will be remembered for her beautiful voice and talented sewing.

She was a member of the Touch Point Community Church of Sarasota, Fla.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor August 6, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Coolfont Resort, Berkeley Springs.
