Edward Earl Ball, Jr.

Edward Earl Ball, Jr., age 74, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at INOVA Fairfax in Falls Church, Va.

Born April 3, 1947 in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Edward Earl, Sr. and Ethel Marie Ervine Ball.

He was a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church.

Ed was a graduate of Baltimore public schools and had worked as a building inspector with the City of Martinsburg, W.Va.

He was a member and past president of the Berkeley Springs Lions Club. He liked to build things and enjoyed playing cards.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Minnie Louise “Ceil” Jones Ball, at home, his son, David Brian Ball of Fayette County, W.Va., his sister, Linda Marie Feaga of Williamsport, Md., one brother, Michael Ray Ball of Westminster, Md., two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Woodrow Young.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Greenwood United Methodist Church, 12031 Winchester Grade Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Lloyd McCanna will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Grove Cemetery.
