1943-2021

Doris Jean Carbaugh, 78, Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Fulton County Medical Center.

Born October 31, 1943, in Big Cove Tannery, Pa., she was the daughter of the late David and Ethel (Keefer) Harr.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and had a precious relationship with the Lord.

In her early years she worked at Sagner in McConnellsburg and London Fog in Hancock as a seamstress. She was employed as a waitress in Breezewood until her retirement.

She was a devoted Mom to her children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, being outside working in her flower beds, game shows, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three sons: Charles Knable and wife Cheryl, of Merritt Island, Fla.; James Knable and wife Missi, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; Steven Knable of Needmore, Pa.; two daughters: Melissa Lynch and husband Karlin, of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Kimberly Carbaugh of Warfordsburg, Pa.; five grandchildren: Zachary Knable, Victoria Nobles, Amber Knable, Clayton Lynch and Branden Lynch; four great-grandchildren: Ryker Nobles, Baze Nobles, Bentley Knable and Lillie Stains; two sisters: Jane Manley and Helene Weller, of Needmore Pa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Agnes Gress, Grace Souders and Blanche Pine; three brothers: Kenneth Harr, Ronald Harr and Jobie Harr; one granddaughter: Destiny Knable.

Services were private and at the convenience of the family. Her children will hold a memorial service in the Spring of 2022 with interment at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Pastor Delmas Bard officiating.
