Donald Keith Mace
1935-2022
Donald Keith Mace, age 87, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born February 9, 1935 in Bath County, Va., he was the son of the late Clyde Harold and Ida Mae Grimm Mace.
He was of the Baptist and of the Nazarene faith. Donald was a graduate of Stanley Point School in Charlottesville, Va. He worked as a horticulturist with the National Park Services.
Donald enjoyed farming, raising herd of cattle, dogs and cats.
Donald is survived by his wife of 49 years, Roxanne Louise Carrico Mace, at home, three children, Allan Keith Mace of Winchester, Va., Georgina Katherine Mace of Berkeley Springs, Lesley Ann Stead of Mahwah, N.J., two grandchildren, Evangelina Louise Mace of Berkeley Springs, Dylan Wilson of Mahwah, N.J. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his one sister, Marie Mace Wiseman, and seven brothers, Warren Mace, Cecil Mace, William Mace, Sr., Clyde Mace, Conley Mace, Ivan Mace and Harold Mace.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Pastor Rodney Truax officiating. Private burial will be in Everett Cemetery in Everett, Pa.
The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
