Clara Marie Miller

1952-2022

Clara Marie Miller, age 70, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Grayson Caring Hands in Huntington, W.Va.

Born January 22, 1952 in Frankfort, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. L. and Cecile A. Cottart Semler.

She was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Clara was a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College.

She retired as a customer service representative with Citibank and in earlier years, she worked with the United Parcel Service.

Clara was a member of the Humane Society of Morgan County, and the ASPCA, where she was a true lover for animals who donated her money to their better trustment and turned her real property into a haven for the birds and wildlife around her.

Clara is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary Douglas Miller, at home, one son, Brian Blickenstaff and his wife, Jamie of Huntington, stepdaughter, Ann Elizabeth Davis and her husband, John of Ellicott City, Md., one sister, Michelle Semler of Greencastle, Pa., brother-in-law’s, Kenneth Wayne Miller and his wife, Gale of State College, Pa., Daniel Thomas Miller and his wife, Carolyn of Hedgesville, W.Va., sister-in-law’s, Diane Maria Wills and her husband, Richard of Berkeley Springs, Mary Bea Skoskie and her husband, Joe of Melbourne, Fla., two grandchildren, Elaina Blinkenstaff and Lincoln Blinkenstaff, both of Huntington, two step grandchildren, Emma Davis of New Jersey and Elisabeth Davis of Delaware, and several nieces and nephews, and her four favorite fur babies, whom she loved and brought her great joy, Zoey, Heidi, Abby and Spanky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Anthony Edward Miller and one brother-in-law, Charles Edward Miller III.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Bethel Cemetery, 522 South, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where family and friends are welcome to attend. Elder Mike Pingley will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Clara’s name, may be made to the Humane Society of Morgan County, P.O. Box 705, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411.
