Christopher Lynn Palmer, 51, of Needmore, Pa., passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa.
Chris was born in Hagerstown, Md., on June 27, 1970, a son of the late Darlene (McCusker) Palmer and Lynn and Betty Palmer of Warfordsburg, Pa. He was the husband of Karen (Leese) Palmer, whom he married on May 18, 1991.
Chris was a 1988 graduate of Southern Fulton High School and a 1992 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren in Needmore, Pa.
He excelled at cabinet making and counter tops. He loved his family, hunting, fishing and helping Scott Palmer with his racing. Chris had worked at local companies such as JLG Industries and Manitowoc till he started his own business, Palmer Innovation and Design, where he did consulting work for firms across the United States such as Ligon and Whipro. He was also a volunteer for the Southern Fulton Track Team coaching the pole vault athletes.
In addition to his wife, father and step mother, he is survived by his daughters Jenna Palmer (wife of Adam) Covalt and Lindsey Palmer; a sister Michelle Palmer (wife of Mike) Bierly and three grandchildren Brylee Covalt, Braxtin Covalt and Blake Covalt. He is also survived by four nieces Ashley Stahle King, Lacey Bradshaw Marcolla, Emily Bradshaw, Rachel Bradshaw and one nephew Shannon Stahle.
There will be a visitation held on Friday, November 19, from 4-8 p.m., at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, Pa.
Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore, Pa., at 2 p.m., on Saturday, November 20, with Pastor Mac Miller officiating. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. Those in attendance for the visitation or funeral are asked to follow the CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery Needmore, Pa.
