Christmas spirit on parade in Paw Paw

Santa Claus and his Mrs. were pulled by their glowing reindeer down Winchester Street during Paw Paw’s annual Christmas parade.Paw Paw’s Parade Committee put on their annual Christmas parade along Winchester Street on Sunday, December 5.  Floats and parade entries included local fire and EMS units, police, the Paw Paw Marching Band, church floats,  Nativity characters and horses.

 

 

 

 

 

Local young people were the stars of the Paw Paw Christmas parade on Sunday, December 5.

Local young ladies, joined by Snoopy, brought sparkle to Sunday’s parade.

Each year, a “Lights of Love” tree is decorated with ornaments remembering Paw Paw residents who passed away. The tree next to the Bank of Romney is lit at dark after the parade.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus were carried along the parade route atop a Great Cacapon fire truck.

An angel looked out over parade watchers on Sunday evening.

Paw Paw Schools’ marching band brought music to the Christmas parade on Sunday, December 5.

Horses and miniature ponies were on hand as back-up for Santa’s reindeer during Sunday’s Christmas parade. Elves tended to the dressed-up steeds.
