Charles Lacy Stotler, 74, of “C” Street, Keyser, W.Va., formerly of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Monday, February 21, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland, Md.

Born on April 11, 1947 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., he was a son of the late Lacy Morgan and Gladys (Clingerman) Stotler.

He also was preceded in death by a son, Cally Joe Stotler; two infant siblings; two brothers, Donald Lee Stotler and Larry Eugene Stotler and a sister, Linda Miller.

Mr. Stotler was retired as a crane operator at the former PPG Sand Mine in Berkeley Springs, now U.S. Silica.

He also was a member of Local 992, United Mineworkers, Hagerstown, Md.

Surviving are his children, Jeanna Renee Stotler of Keyser and Jerry Lynn Stotler of Martinsburg, W.Va.; grandchildren, William Henry Diehl III and Tiffany Marie Diehl, both of Keyser and four great-granddaughters, Lacy Brooke Diehl, Jayden Marie Whetzel, Emily Paige Diehl and Skylar Renee Diehl. Also surviving are six brothers, Robert Stotler of Hedgesville, W.Va., Richard Stotler of Little Orleans, Md., Bernard Stotler of Martinsburg, Terry Stotler of Berkeley Springs, and Mark Stotler and Danny Stotler, both of Pennsylvania; five sisters, Leona Stotler of Berkeley Springs, Tina Stotler and Rhonda Stotler, both of Pennsylvania and Sherry Hines and Sandy Stotler, both of Berkeley Springs as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ed Clemons, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 until 2 p.m.
