Carol Ann Yost

1949-2021

Carol Ann Yost, age 72, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away peacefully, at the same time as her husband, Roger Glenwood Yost, at Winchester Medical Center, on Monday, October 18, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 8, 1949 in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Niles Matthew and Marie Eleanor Sutliff Sanfield.

She was a Lutheran.

Carol attended public schools in Ohio, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kent State and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Shenandoah University in Winchester.

She worked in sales in the communications industry.

She was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics Council #117 in Berkeley Springs.

Carol loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a great communicator.

She is survived by her children, Benjamin Aaron Yost and his companion, Anna Osborne, of Berkeley Springs and Matthew Leslie Yost and his wife Amanda, of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; one sister, Diane Marie Powers and her husband John, of Mustang, Okla.; four grandchildren, Lili Flowers of Grand Canyon, Ariz., Savannah Yost of Bunker Hill, Heather Osborne and Sierra Osborne, both of Berkeley Springs and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Glenwood Yost; one sister, Karen Louise Misener; one grandson, Kyle Matthew Yost and one great grandson, Declan Osborne.

The family received friends on Friday, October 22, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
