Hiking and mountain bike trails at Cacapon State Park will be closed to the public from Monday, November 1 through Wednesday, November 3 and again November 8-10 for two controlled hunts run by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.
Hunters who have been drawn in a lottery will be permitted to hunt for deer in the park during those times. The first segment of the hunt is for archery, and the second for archery and muzzleloader hunts.
Signs will be posted on park roads to remind visitors of the trail restrictions.
