Brian Denard Tucker
1967-2021
Brian Denard Tucker, age 53, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born August 27, 1967 in Newport News, Va., he was the son of Minister Delores “Dee” Tucker Smith of Pasadena, Md., and the late Leonard Jerome Tucker.
He was a Christian and also practiced the Sukyo Mahikari belief.
Brian was a graduate of Severna Park High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, N.C. He was a devout member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
He taught special education at the Timber Ridge School and Morgan County Public Schools. He was a graphic designer, a TV camera man, an IT specialist and was proficient in photography. Brian was a drummer and was a gamer with his sons.
He served with the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged at the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Queen Tucker, of Berkeley Springs;, his step-father, Howard C. Smith of Pasadena, Md.; three children, Brian Denard Tucker, Jr., of Pasadena, Md., Brandon Darrell Tucker, of Berkeley Springs and Eugina Maria Creek and her husband Darryl, of Annapolis, Md.; one brother, Jason L. Smith and his wife Kim, of Pasadena, Md.; his adopted brother, Deno Stiles, of Berkeley Springs and one nephew, Keon Smith, of Pasadena, Md.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Leona Tucker.
Services will begin with the Omega Service at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 27, at Fresh Start Church, 120 N. Langley Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21060, followed by receiving by the family with the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Bishop Craig Coates will officiate. Interment will be private.
