1947-2021

Alice Faye (Fletcher) Turner, 74, of Little Orleans, Md., passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at her home.

Born April 15, 1947, in Hancock, Md., Mrs. Turner was the daughter of the late Allan Fletcher and Anna Jane (Hollenbaugh) Fletcher.

She was also preceded in death by her brother: Roy Fletcher.

A graduate of Flintstone High School, Class of 1965, Alice was a former employee of London Fog and G.C. Murphy, both in Hancock, Md. She was also a bus driver for the Allegany County Board of Education and a former employee of the Polish Mountain Candy Factory.

Alice was a member of the Piney Plains United Methodist Church.

She loved spending time with her family.

Alice is survived by her husband of 56 years: Robert S. Turner; her sons: Samuel Turner and significant other, Janell; and Scott Turner. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Bradley Turner and wife, Tara; Brett Turner and wife, Kelly; Tiffany Noel and husband, Justin; Brian Clark and wife, Jennifer; Nathan Turner and significant other, Vivian; and Jacob Turner; her great grandchildren: Karsyn, Camden, Ember, Ashlyn, Milynn and Weston. Alice is also survived by her sisters: Carol Riggleman and husband, Robert; Beverly Moyer and husband, Larry; and Penny Powell and husband, Russell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends were received at the First EMC Church of Little Orleans, 11510 Price Road, Little Orleans, Md., on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service was conducted at the First EMC Church of Little Orleans on Monday, September 20, 2021, at 1 p.m., with Reverend Jerry Fletcher officiating.

The family would like to give a special thank you to UMPC Home Hospice, her sisters, and her friend, Shannon for all the care and compassion given to Alice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s name to the American Diabetes Association, Post Office Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
