Alan Jeffrey Dilts

1948-2022

Alan Jeffrey Dilts, age 73, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Born May 5, 1948 in Hackensack, N.J., he was the son of the late Newton Kirkman, Jr. and Lucille Virginia Truckenbrodt Dilts.

He was a member of the Hancock Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was a graduate of Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf, in New Jersey and stayed connected with his friends. Prior to his retirement, he had worked in the landscaping business.

He had bowled on leagues at the Berkeley Springs Bowlerama.

He enjoyed baseball and was an avid Yankees fan.

Mr. Dilts is survived by his wife, Patricia Farrington DeBlasio Dilts, at home, one brother, Christopher Dilts and his wife Cheryl of Maine and several cousins in New Jersey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Keith William DeBlasio and one brother, Charles Kirkman Dilts.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date at the Hancock Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 200 Douglas Street, Hancock, Md. Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Great Cacapon, WV at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022.
