Winford Eugene “Gene” Michael, age 85, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. died on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Somerford House & Place in Hagerstown, Md.
Born September 25, 1934 in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Winford Theodore and Geneva Marie Stotler Michael Culp and Step father, Allen (Bud) Edward Culp. Gene worked for Lee Builders in Williamsport, Md.
He loved carpentry.
Gene is survived by his wife of 67 years Phyllis Lorraine Kline Michael at home; one daughter, Susan K. Waugh of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one son, Michael E. Michael and wife Elaine of Cincinnati, Ohio; three grandchildren, Ashley M. Waugh and partner Heath Fleming, Adam M. Waugh and wife Amanda Rice, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Kaylee N. Michael of Cincinnati, Ohio; four great grandchildren, Raina M. Waugh, Parker E. Waugh, Piper L. Fleming and Abigail V. Waugh, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one step grandson, Logan Rice of Berkeley Springs.

Private services and burial will be in Parkhead United Methodist Church Cemetery.
