William A. Oliver, Jr.

1954-2020

William Arthur “Bird Dog” Oliver, Jr., age 65, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his residence.

Born December 2, 1954 in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late William Arthur Oliver, Sr. and the late Gladys June Close Whittington.

He was a Christian.

Billy was a 1972 class graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

He served with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Billy was a self-trade gunsmith, jeweler, as well as a tool and die machinist, and he worked for Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown, Md.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1483, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #4244, and Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60 all in Berkeley Springs.

Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.

William is survived by his sister, Jennifer Lynn Oliver of Berkeley Springs, and many friends that he considered family.

Funeral services and burial will be private in Greenway Cemetery.
