Stanley H. Bigelow
1929-2018
Stanley Howard Bigelow, 89, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 at his home.
Born February 13, 1929 in the Belgian Congo, Africa, he was the son of Howard and Anna Elizabeth Sayer Bigelow.
He was a Christian.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill., one year at Wheaton Graduate School and a Mastor of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif.
He was the owner and operator of InterAct, a communication consulting and seminar business.
He was a member of the Coolfont community, serving five years as president of the Coolfont Mountainside Association Board.
He liked reading, kayaking and hiking through the Coolfont woods.
Surviving is his wife of 35 years, Rosemary Charlotte Barbour Bigelow; four children, Donna Marabotto, Paul Bigelow and Peter Bigelow all of California and Elizabeth “Beth” Damkoehler of Florida; one step-daughter, Amanda Spina of New Jersey; one sister, Alice Minnamon of Arizona; one brother, Don Bigelow of Arizona; five grandchildren, Caitlyn Miller and Nicholas Marabotto both of California, Taylor Damkoehler of Florida, Vincent Spina and Mark Spina both of New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Interment will be private.
