Spring sprinkles don’t stop egg hunt

The Annual Darcy MAcLachlan Easter Egg Hunt in Berkeley Springs State Park went ahead despite Easter Sunday sprinkles on April 1. Sponsored by the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 60 and supported by Post 60 Legionnaires and Unit 60 Auxiliary, the event attracted hundreds to the downtown park.

Thousands of eggs were spread around the park in four age-group sections for children ages 1 to 10. The plastic eggs were stuffed with prizes and candy.

The Easter Bunny arrived to kick off the event, and led each age-group in their hunt for eggs in the spring grass.
