Ruth M. Parlett
1926-2018
Ruth Maxine Parlett, 92, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at The Berkeley Springs Center, LLC.
Born January 6, 1926 in Patterson Creek, she was the daughter of the late Albert H. and Carrie Susan Oglesbee Broome.
She attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Great Cacapon.
She was a 1943 graduate of Fort Ashby High School.
She had been a homemaker for most of her life.
Surviving are her daughter, Alma Willey, Berkeley Springs; one granddaughter, Lisa Willey, Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Matthew Parlett; three sisters, Mary Dayton, Willa Bowers and Frances Oster and two brothers, Lawrence Broome and Richard Broome.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 15 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, where friends may call from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 217, Great Cacapon, WV 25422.
