Roger B. Glass
1955-2020
Roger Benignus Glass, 65, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Va.
Born August 20, 1955 in Jacksonville Fla., he was the son of the late Roger B. and Rose Marie Irving Glass.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1974 until his honorable discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1984. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Marksman M14 Rifle Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Driver Badge.
Surviving are his daughter Amanda Glass, Frostburg Md., and sons Justin Glass and wife Abbigail, and Jared Glass and friend Karli Fitz, all of Berkeley Springs; sisters Frances Ziler, Berkeley Springs, Mary Hoopengardner, Berkeley Springs, Joan Chaney and husband Rick, McHenry, Md., Patricia Fleece and husband Freddie, Berkeley Springs, and Barbara Ensor and husband Elvis Warfordsburg, Pa.; brothers Mike Glass, Martinsburg, W.Va., Robert Glass and wife Bobbie Hedgesville, W.Va., and John Glass and wife Roxanne Hancock, Md.; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Sabrina and a brother William Glass.
Mass of the Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Berkeley Springs. Interment will be private.
