Rodney D. Hobday

1958-2018

Rodney Dale Hobday, 59, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born August 24, 1958 at War Memorial Hospital, he was the son of the late Estee Newton and Hilda Marie “Peg” Michael Hobday.

He was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.

He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and had worked as a truck driver with Kline, Cassidy and PSI Trucking.

He was an outdoorsman and liked auto mechanics, auto painting and race cars.

He is survived by his companion, Dawn Marie Pryor, Boonsboro, Md.; his children, Lonnie Hobday, Roxy Hobday and Kandi Hobday; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Deanie Stotler Clark and one brother, Roger Hobday.

Services and interment is private.

Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
