Washington County residents who want to be in line to receive the COVID-19 vaccine when it’s available to their age or health group can now register ahead of time to be notified of its availability.
The Washington County Health Department has created an interest form in order to create lists for each priority group moving forward.
Residents who are interested in receiving a vaccine and are in the priority groups identified in Phase 1A, 1B, & 1C (other than 65+) can fill out the form through the county’s website.
The form is online here:

Residents who are currently over the age of 65 can register to receive the vaccine now by going to the Meritus Health website at https://www.meritushealth.com/patients-visitors/vaccine-form/ and filling in their form.
Residents only need to complete the form once.
“The Health Department will contact people who have registered on this form by priority group as the county receives more vaccine. It may be several days, weeks, or longer until you are contacted since it depends on vaccine availability,” county health officials said in a release about the registry tool.
County officials have asked residents not to call the health department or Meritus for updates on the vaccine, as information will be released when it is available.
“We are currently working on a solution for a phone number for the senior population and for anyone without internet access to call in order to fill out the interest form,” Health Department officials said.
Social media and the Washington County Vaccination website will have further information regarding a phone line and other help registering residents to get the vaccine.
The county’s main COVID information website is at https://www.washco-md.net/coronavirus-info/.
Residents can go the website and subscribe to receive regular updates from the county on vaccines, testing and other COVID-related matters.
