Paw Paw volleyball picks up win over Legacy Christian Academy

The Paw Paw Lady Pirates hosted the East Hardy Cougars in volleyball action last Tuesday, October 9. East Hardy swept Paw Paw 3-0 with the scores being 25-14, 25-12 and 25-8.

Leading Paw Paw was Laken Day with seven service points and five aces. Elizabeth Henderson with one service point and two aces, Megan Brown and Alexis Barker added two service points.

Paw Paw traveled to Berkeley Springs for a tri match with the Lady Indians and Hancock on Wednesday, October 10.

Hancock swept Paw Paw 2-0 (25-14 and 25-16). Hana Hendrickson led Paw Paw with five service points and two aces. Paw Paw was also led by Halle Galiher who had five service points and two aces while Addison Ross added three service points and three aces.

Paw Paw was swept by Berkeley Springs 2-0 (25-11 and 25-16). Hendrickson led Paw Paw once again with four service points while Galiher, Ross and Brown added two service points.

The Paw Paw Lady Pirates hosted the Legacy Christian Academy in varsity volleyball action on Friday, October 12. Paw Paw was able to pick up the win with the five set win, 3-2.

Legacy took game one by the score of 25-19. Paw Paw bounced back with a 25-21 win in game two. Legacy took game three by the score of 25-17. In the pivotal game four the Lady Pirates bounced back with the 25-17 win. In the fifth and deciding set Paw Paw rallied back to take the 15-13 win.

Galiher led the Lady Pirates with 14 service points, four aces, 15 digs and two assists. Ross had 11 service points and six aces, Day added nine service points, five aces, seven digs and six assists; Barker had five service points, four aces, seven digs and eight kills; Brown had four service points, two aces, 10 digs and five kills; Henderson had two service points, one ace, eight digs and three kills and Kaydence Watson added six service points.

Paw Paw was back in action Tuesday, October 16 when they hosted Morgan County rival Berkeley Springs in their Annual Dig Pink game.
