Pamela J. Shanholtz
1952-2019
Pamela Jean Shanholtz, 66, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, April 27, 2019 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born September 3, 1952 in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Roscoe “Buddy” and Agnes La-Verne Shives Barney.
She attended Berkeley Springs Church of the Nazarene.
She was a 1970 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She had worked at the Berkeley Springs Tastee Freeze, Vanguard Products and at Berkeley Springs Bottling Manufacturing Company. She was active in the Morgan County Rescue Service Ladies Auxiliary.
She was an avid reader and an artist, sketching, painting, crafting ceramics and needlepoint.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Schur, Berkeley Springs; three brothers, Larry Barney, Sr. and Rusty Barney, both of Berkeley Springs and Randy Barney of North Carolina; two grandchildren, Kye Schur and Samantha Schur, both of Berkeley Springs; one great-granddaughter, Adia Hostler, Berkeley Springs and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Leo Matthew Shanholtz on September 23, 2007 and one sister, Janet Bearup.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 2 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs with Pastors Rodney Truax and William Swope officiating. Interment will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home.
