Nina L. Gaither
1964-2021
Nina Louise Gaither, age 56, of Hancock, Md., passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her home.
Born June 14, 1964, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of Charles E. Socks, of Hancock, and the late Elizabeth A. Shoemaker.
She was a 1982 graduate of Hancock High School.
She was a homemaker, and enjoyed the companionship of her three dogs, Hemi, Jazzy and Bella.
In addition to her father, she is survived by one daughter, Jessica N. Appel, of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sons, David B. Gaither and his fiancé, Karrie Berkey, of Martinsburg, W.Va., and William R. Scott and his wife, Whitney, of Hancock; five grandchildren, Allie, Colton, Colin, Zander and Rylee; two sisters, Faye Conley and her husband, Steven, and Karen J. Conley and her husband, Charles, all from Hancock.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry C. Socks.
The family received friends on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, from 4 until 6 p.m., at the Grove Funeral home, 141 West Main Street, in Hancock, after which her service was held at 6 p.m., with Pastor Joe Martin officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
