Nelda L. Howell
1930-2020
Nelda Lee Howell, 89, of Hedgesville, died Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg.
Born May 29, 1930 in Madison, she was the daughter of the late Delmer and Minnie Cleo Woods Hager.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was a graduate of Scott High School in Madison.
She was a homemaker all of her life.
She was an avid oil painter, bird watching, liked playing the piano and singing.
She is survived by her son, John Howell, Hedgesville; one granddaughter, Leslie Ives, San Diego, Calif.; one great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Norman Howell; three sisters and three brothers.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 7 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 7408 River Road, Hedgesville with Pastor Robert Burton officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
