Morgan County COVID cases jump to 24

According to the West Virginia DHHR COVID tracking website, Morgan County’s number of disease cases jumped to 24 from 21 during this week. Four county residents now have active cases of the respiratory disease, state numbers report. There are an additional 21 people who have recovered from the disease in Morgan County. Statewide, numbers of cases have grown over the last two weeks. State officials continue to ask residents to wear face coverings in indoor spaces where they cannot distance themselves from others, and in outdoor places that are crowded.

Residents seeking COVID-19 testing can call the Morgan County Health Department at 304-258-1513 for guidance or contact their primary health care provider. The most frequent symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, coughing and shortness of breath.
