Marshall Carl “Ike” Gurson
1942-2021
Marshall Carl “Ike” Gurson, age 78, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Monday, May 24, 2021 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born August 16, 1942 in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Abraham Samuel and Goldie Gallion Gurson.
He was a member of Trinity-Asbury United Methodist Church.
Ike was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and attended Shepherd College.
He served in the United States Air Force.
Ike retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.
Ike was a member and Past Master of Deford Lodge #88 A.F & A.M., Berkeley Chapter #77 of the Order of the Eastern Star where he served as Past Patron, and Ali Ghan Shriner in Cumberland, Md. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason of Valley of Martinsburg in Martinsburg, W.Va. and Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60.
Ike enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Ike is survived by his son Michael Dennis Gurson and his wife Faith, both of Berkeley Springs; three grandchildren, Michael Corbin Gurson, Holden Gregory Gurson and Hope Eveline Gurson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Susan May Harbert Gurson on November 19, 2018.
Services and burial for Ike will be private.
