1940-2021

Marlene M. Hill, 80, of McConnellsburg, Pa. passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa.

Marlene was born in Fulton County, Pa. on October 11, 1940, the daughter of the late Estella P. (Haines) and R. Kreps Younker.

She was a member of the F.O.E. #4274 in Harrisonville, Pa., the VFW Post #655 and the American Legion Post #561 both in McConnellsburg, Pa. Marlene retired after working for P & W Excavating for 27 years where she ran the roller and also had her dynamite license.

She loved taking rides in her little red Ford Ranger where she often drove a hundred miles a day on back country roads with her dog “Roxie.”

Marlene was a strong willed woman who loved hunting, fishing and shooting pool. Marlene is survived by son C. Randall (husband of Charlene) Younker of Needmore, Pa.; sisters Argyle Sensel, of Hagerstown, Md., Connie (wife of Kenneth) Booth of Warfordsburg, Pa., Barbara Deneen (companion Steve Johnson), of Hancock, Md.; brothers Eldon Younker, of Mercersburg, Pa., Eddie (husband of Ginny) Younker, of Harrisonville, Pa., Vaughn (husband of Sue) Younker, of Falling Waters, W.Va., Maurice (husband of Shirley) Younker, of Mercersburg, Pa., Carl (husband of Nancy) Younker, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., D. Leon Younker, of Mercersburg, Pa. and grandchild Brandi Younker of Needmore, Pa.

Marlene was preceded in death by daughter Robbie Long; brothers Donald L. and Guy Younker; three sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews.

Religious service was held at Damascus Christian Church, Big Cove Tannery, Pa., at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 with Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating. Visitation was one hour before the service. CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 restrictions were followed. Interment at Damascus Christian Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, Pa.

Arrangements were made by the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., McConnellsburg, Pa.
