Margaret Teresa Franklin, age 65, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., fell asleep with Jesus at her home on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
Born April 29, 1953 in Leonardtown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ellen “Elvie” Catherine Gray Morgan.
She was an active member at the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Teresa was a 1971 class graduate of Chopticon High School in Lexington Park, Md.
She worked in various areas of the grocery business for years, she was a homemaker to her husband Paul.
Teresa and Paul moved to Berkeley Springs in 2008, and after his death she still wanted to stay and live around the area.
She was an avid fan and loved the Washington Redskins, an avid animal lover, reading and studying the Bible and books especially about Jesus.
Teresa is survived by her siblings, Mary Martha Walthen and John Phillip Morga, both of Avenue Md., Joseph Freddy Morgan and Doris Rita Hall, both of Leonardtown, Md., Barbara Ann Makle, of Lexington Park, Md., Mary Ellen Hill, of Bushwood, Md.; her in-laws, “Mom and Dad”, June and Vernon Franklin, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; her special sister, Denise L. Mayberry, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and V. Rees Franklin, of Brandon, Fla.; her best friend, Lucheria “Butch” Fox of Leonardtown, Md.; her adopted daughter, Michelle Rush, of Panama City, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Paul Stephen Franklin on January 6, 2017.
Memorial services will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3606 Valley Road, Berkeley Springs, with Pastor Jason Disch officiating.
Burial will be private.
