Margaret R. Mitchell
1934-2018
Margaret Rose Mitchell, age 84, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born April 15, 1934 in Essex, England, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Harriette Vincent Foster.
She attended schools in England.
Margaret worked for the British Embassy as a switchboard operator.
She enjoyed knitting.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years James Elijah Mitchell at home; two daughters, Deborah Weller and husband David of Sterling, Va., and Tracy DeVeling of Berkeley Springs; eight grandchildren, Jason, Michael and wife Kelley, Rachel, and Rebecca Weller of Sterling, Va., and Emily, Christopher, Nicole, and Timothy DeVeling of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, and two brothers.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 36 S. Green Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Rev. Susan Taylor Dropp officiating.
Burial will be private
