Lula Mae Steiner, age 90, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on June 13, 2021 at the Berkeley Springs Nursing Home.

Born October 21, 1930 in Maryland she was the daughter of the late Bruce Elmer and Veleala Agnes (Lelay Doozie) Robinson McKenzie.

Lula was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

She worked as a nursing assistant for War Memorial Hospital and Valley View Nursing Home, both in Berkeley Springs.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and especially enjoyed her flowers.

Lula is survived by four daughters, Debra Weller, of Great Cacapon, Mary Davis, of Berkeley Springs, Etta Sparks, of Berkeley Springs and Janet Steiner, of Warfordsburg, Pa.; five sons, LeRoy Steiner, of Ferrum, Va., Steve Steiner, Roger Steiner, Rodney Steiner and Raymond Steiner, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one sister, Louise Robinson; one brother Lawrence Robinson, of Virginia; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oliver Jenkins Steiner on January 9, 2014; one daughter, Kathleen Steiner; seven sisters, Anna L. Robinson, Emma E. Lewis, Rhonda Robinson, Sarah V. Baker, Mary A. Robinson, Henrietta T, McKenzie and Edith Robinson; four brothers, Elmer Robinson, John L. Robinson, Ervin J. Robinson and George F. Robinson.

The family received friends on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Liberty & S. Washington Streets, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., with Father Mike Lecias officiating. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.
