Loretta L. Chmielewski

1942-2018

Loretta Louise Chmielewski, 76, of Great Cacapon, died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born February 22, 1942 in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late John George and Loretta Agnes Allenbaugh Meile.

She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Great Cacapon.

She attended public schools in Baltimore.

She was a homemaker and liked cooking, entertaining, crafts and was an avid reader.

Surviving are her son, John Raver, Cape Coral, Fla.; three sisters, Lillian Keller and Laura McAlexander, both of Great Cacapon and Mildred Shoemaker, Denton, Md.; one granddaughter, Sara Hallas, Cape Coral and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Raver, Jr.; her second husband, Edward Joseph Chmielewski, Jr.; two daughters, Irene Ogemaw and Sandra Thompson and one sister, Barbara Stevens.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, June 1 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs with Pastor Dick Voorhaar officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 31 at the funeral home.
