The Berkeley Springs High School Lady Indians Varsity
Basketball Team picked up their ninth win of the season with a 54-43 win over visiting Faith Christian Academy. Before the tip-off the Lady Indians honored seniors Kaleah Mellott and Taylor Stotler for their four years of contributions to the basketball program.
In the first quarter the Lady Indians trailed 11-7. At the end of the second quarter Faith Christian held a slim 21-19 lead.
The second half saw Berkeley Springs start to find their shooting groove. In the third quarter the Lady Indians used some long distance three point shooting to take a 35-32 lead. In the final period the Lady Indians kept torching the net beyond the arc to eventually secure the 54-43 win.
In the end Berkeley Springs hit a season high six three point shots.
Leading the way for Berkeley Springs was Ty’aira Mifflin (12 points 4-3 pointers), Caybrie Clatterbuck (12 points), Mellott (eight points and 12 rebounds), Stotler (five points), Harly Didawick (three points), Sara Veara (five points), Karalyne Banks (three points and 10 rebounds) and Molli Hogbin (six points and seven rebounds).
