Judith Byrd Simonpietri, 76, of Berkeley Springs, died Saturday, May 12 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born December 3, 1942 in Wilmington, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Lucille Ross Byrd.
She was a member of Berkeley Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker all her life.
She liked flower gardening, taking photos of flowers and making ceramics.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Christopher Robert Simonpietri at home; four children, Eddie Simonpietri, Hartwood, Va., Cindy Butler, Wales, UK, Mark Simonpietri, Winchester, Va. and Erin Simonpietri, Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Yvonne Allen, Brenda Ross and Teresa Ross all of Wilmington, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Jason Christiansen, Midlothian, Va., Kendall Gillis, Hartwood, Haleigh Simonpietri, Fairfax, Va., Connor Simonpietri, Anna Simonpietri and Elizabeth Simonpietri all of Winchester, Va., Hunter Cheatham, Chase Cheatham and Cooper Cheatham all of Berkeley Springs; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 2 at Berkeley Baptist Church, 172 Winchester Grade Road, Berkeley Springs with Rev. Joseph Giles, Jr. officiating.
Burial will be private.
