Joe had several different occupations during his life, but the longest was manager of three different banks over the period of 20 plus years.

He was a member of the Medairy Lodge No. 140 A.F. & A.M., the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest Lodge No. 95, and the American Legion Post No. 202 in Williamsport.

Joe was the middle of seven children: three brothers, Virgil R. Householder, Foster P. Householder and Ralph Householder; two sisters, Geneva Householder Paugh and Pauline Householder Cox, all deceased; and survived by his sister, Jean.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Delores Corbin Householder; grandson he adored, Christopher Householder and wife, Allyson (Point of Rocks, Md.); daughter-in-law, Kimberly Householder (Falling Waters, W.Va.); sister-in-law, Elizabeth Householder (Martinsburg, W.Va.); sister-in-law, Treva Householder (Florida); nine nephews and six nieces.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph L. Householder II and infant, David Scott Householder.
